The woman on the left-hand side in the black leather jacket is Erin. Shortly after this moment was captured, Mr. Llama introduced me to her, explaining that she is the manager at Splash Mountain, and helped him plan everything.
Then he started to explain how this was all pieced together. The reason why we stopped for the Birthday Button on Main Street? To help the cast members identify me, so they could give us our own boat! Mr. Llama wanted to make sure that no one else would be in our photo. Additionally, he sent her a picture of me, and a picture of himself in the shirt he would be wearing, so that they knew exactly who we were when we got in line. Erin even said that they had a staff meeting that morning, where they went over the logistics of what the plan was when we were spotted!
As we turned the corner, I had more surprises waiting for me. Waiting for us by the photo station were my parents and Mr. Llama's parents! This may have shocked me even more than the proposal itself, honestly. Mr. L completely caught me off guard. I'm pretty sure I just started sobbing.
The next hour or so was a blur - we began to call and text those closest to us to share the news, which was wonderful, but also exhausting. I had hardly processed anything, and also was in need of some calories and fluids. The six of us proceeded to The Crystal Palace, where had enjoyed some much-needed rest.
So that's it in a nutshell, folks!
Sometime in the future, I'm going to have Mr. Llama do a guest blog on here, detailing the preparation of that day and what was ACTUALLY all going on in the days leading up to it. It's a fabulous story, but I really can't do it justice - it's got to be from the person who experienced it!!
