I'm kind of strangely in denial of really liking pink. I'm girly, but it just evokes such knee-jerk bad reactions from people...I'm not one of those girls who likes pink, you know? Except I am. I totally like pink.
But I knew I didn't want a string of girls wearing pink. Ick. I think part of the reason why I like pink is because it pops - but if it's all over the place, it doesn't exactly pop anymore, it just look like a Barbie suitcase exploded.
I liked the idea of purple, but it also seemed way too mainstream. I wonder what percentage of weddings have purple as their primary color...I'm betting it's almost half.
Then, I saw this photo in a Martha Stewart Weddings magazine:
I think once I saw the stripes, I knew I could rule out going this route, which was under consideration:
All of these things totally equal "STRIPES" don't you think?
But, I knew that we weren't doing a Black & White only wedding. Me? With no color? No no no. Then, by some miracle, THIS popped up on my Pinterest:
So there you have it! What did I end up with? Red, Purple, Pink, and Black & White Stripes. It might be a little loud for some people's taste, but...
Mr. Llama and I (and our families) might be a little loud for a lot of people's taste.
