Even though we won't be tasting desserts other than cake on our planning trip, we are hoping to offer more than just cake at our reception. Our original thought was to offer one of our very favorite Disney desserts: The Pineapple Dole Whip!
One of our other favorite Disney desserts? Hollywood Studio's Carrot Cake Cookie:
Our final potential dessert (other than cake) that we're looking into are Mickey Premiums:
We've heard through the grapevine that these can be ordered as a 'late night snack' for about $5 a pop. It also sounds as if we'd be charged per ice cream consumed, instead of per person, so even though $5 isn't cheap, I doubt every single person would eat one. Most other desserts/food are price per person.
Now, back to cake!
As much as I adore that first picture of the black and white cake, we had idea that both fits both thematically, and would likely keep costs down. What if we had a cake in the SHAPE of a Mickey Premium bar?
Now, depending on the costs of the other dessert options, we might still want more than one kind of cake that is cut in the kitchen. Here are the cake flavors we will be tasting in less than 2 weeks:
Cake
Yellow
Almond
Marble
Lemon
Chocolate
Red Velvet
Fillings
Cannoli
Bailey’s Mousse
Blackberry Mousse
Peanut Butter Cup
Dark Chocolate Mousse
Raspberry Mousse
Cream Cheese
Amaretto Mousse with Almond Crunch
Caramel Milk Chocolate
And those are the desserts we're considering! It will really come down to price, and what they can offer us, but we're crossing out fingers that we'll be able to offer a combination of cake, as well as our Disney favorites.
Anybody out there have a favorite Disney dessert that we missed? ;)
