Basically, hive, we will be planning most of our wedding in one 4-hour block of time. Menu, floral, linens, cake, wedding-day timeline, rehearsal dinner plans, music... it's made the time leading up to now very easy, but now that it's so close--I feel like I have to know exactly what I want in the next two weeks! Really, even before that--because Mr. L and I have to submit a whole bunch of paperwork expressing what we want ahead of time. It's getting so close!
You know Franck, Martin Short's hilarious wedding planner from Father of the Bride? Well, did you know that Disney recreated his studio in Orlando, and that's where we'll be doing some of this planning?
We got to peek in here on our engagement trip a year ago, when we started fishing for information, but I'm excited to go there as a legit bride this time around!
I've done as much research as I really can. Probably the most helpful tool has been the DISbrides facebook group, which is a group for (you guessed it) Disney brides, past and present. If you ask how much something costs on there, usually SOMEONE will have an answer. Sometimes, if it's something really specific and concrete, my planner can tell me the cost, but often the answer is, "well, that depends on all your other choices, because we price everything as an overall package." Ugh, so annoying. It's making it very difficult to come with concrete budgets for the different aspects of our wedding! For now, I keep thinking this to myself to keep my imagination in check:
Does anyone else feel like they're going into some of their planning a bit blind?
