Based on my dress, I liked the idea of a big statement necklace, like these:
Let's back up for a second. Remember how I'm getting married in Florida, in July? Well, that kind of means my hair has to be up. If it's left down, I will get way too hot, and it probably will not hold much shape.
If my hair is going to be up, that means my ears are going to be out. And guys? My ears kinda stick out. And they're on the large side.
It might be counter-intuitive, but my long-time favorite way of balancing out the size of my ears is by wearing big earrings. I never leave the house without earrings. I carry spares in my purse in case I forget to throw some on in the morning.
Okay. So if I'm doing big earrings, and no necklace, that gives me permission to do a big hair "schmoopsie" (as my friends would call it). Some different styles I really liked were:
I also felt that this one would give me the flexibility of having a veil if I so choose (nope...still don't know what I'm doing veil-wise!) but would also be enough on its own if I choose to forgo it.
So I bought it! I'm very pleased with it - it's very sparkly without being super traditional. Plus, its shape is flexible, so it should fit around whatever hair I do decide on.
I have been on the hunt for the perfect big earrings, when I came across these babies at Dillard's while in Florida on our planning trip:
So as of right now, that's what I'm going with...I may add a bracelet, but I'll figure out for sure later.
Accessories I haven't dealt with yet: the veil, and belt... I have a few ideas, but nothing set in stone! What do you think? Am I cutting it too close? I should probably get on it...
