The Disney Wedding website has just recently been privy to a very welcome revamping. While there isn't a ton more information than there used to be, the site is a heck-of-a-lot more user-friendly and prettier than the old one. After doing a little digging, from what we could tell, it appeared that this Disney Wedding idea was in the realm of possibility.
(It was also kind of fun, because my future father-in-law basically demanded to be shown this space during off-hours. I think eventually a non-wedding related hotel manager of some kind took pity and showed it to us at like 9 PM on a weekend. Gotta love the Disney Cast Members!)
The perfect place! Except it only accommodates 36. WOMP WOMP.
NEXT.
The same cast member who let us into The Attic was also kind enough to unlock Atlantic Dance Hall, which is located directly across from The Attic. We knew this was a big contender -- it was big enough for us, not a banquet hall, overlooked Crescent Lake, and located in one of our very favorite areas: The Boardwalk area.
Disney does have some other really cool, unique venues, but for a party of our size, there just weren't really other options to legitimately look at.
At the end of our engagement trip, we also looked into getting married at Innisbrook, near Tampa, FL, which is where my side of the family has vacationed for decades. It had always been where I had imagined getting married, so I was excited to also look at that option!
Stay tuned to find out why we ultimately ended up with Disney...
